French chanson and variété parodies with a straight face: Marcel Soleil turns iconic French-song drama into funny, affectionate stories about ordinary adult life, sung in a warm baritone croon.
Voice: Charming, deadpan, affectionate and self-mocking. Marcel sings ridiculous everyday problems with complete dramatic sincerity. Warm rather than cynical; the joke is usually on him, and beneath the complaints there is genuine tenderness.
